Alaskan pollock (Theragrama chalcogramma)
During the first eleven operative weeks of season B of DAP, they produced 60,773 tonnes of fillets and minced, 39,476 t of surimi and 1,119 t of roes. The global production of 2010 was up 19.7% on that of the same period in 2009.
The relationship fillets/surimi in this period was 60/39, while during the same period in the previous year it had been 64/34.

Higher prices soften blow on sharp decline in exports

Exports of fishery and aquaculture products from Chile were valued at USD 1755.2 million during the first six months of 2010. This represents a decrease of 13.2 per cent over the same period in 2009, when a total of USD 2.021 million was sent abroad.
